U Turn The Wheel

U-Turn the Wheel is a program is a one-day         in-school program series of road safety and awareness workshops aimed at those young beginning and developing drivers in the district, and run by the Rotary Club within each district. 

In conjunction with the local RSO (Road Safety Officer), schools, police, and emergency services, as well as Road Safety Professionals and volunteers, the workshops accommodate every year 11 student who wish to participate through the local school systems. The workshops are provided at "NO COST" to the participant. 

The U-Turn the Wheel program is designed to specifically address the ATTITUDES & AWARENESS of driver related issues such as speed, fatigue, alcohol, drugs and the wearing of seat belts; each which have been identified as major contributors to road casualties among our young drivers.
This program also addresses the issues of risk taking behavior, peer pressure and responsible decision making in the areas of insurance and purchasing of a vehicle.

An opportunity for students completing secondary schooling to travel to other parts of the world to study for up to one year in an entirely different environment.
The impact on future international relations is incalculable, however, the impact on the lives of those students fortunate to participate is most evident.
Those young people are the potential leaders in their future community, playing a vital role in the shaping of tomorrow’s world.

Senior secondary students in good health who on the day of departure have turned 15 years but be not older than 19 years.

Inbound
An opportunity for students from other parts of the world to study for up to one year in our District.

National Youth Science Forum

Summer School Vacation Seminar

The NYSF helps students moving into year 12, who wish to follow careers in science, engineering and technology by introducing them to research and researchers, by encouraging the achievement of excellence in all their undertakings, and by helping to develop their communication and interpersonal skills.

It also fosters discussion of, and interest in major national and global issues and emphasizes the importance of maintain continuing active interests in sport, arts and music.

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment

A weekend where 14 to 16 year olds have an opportunity to discover through ideas, problem solving, team and group activities, experiences that will assist them in forming their own values and moral standards, and to broaden their cultural, social and academic horizons.
All this whilst enjoying themselves and the facilities of a water and bush land setting, close to Sydney.

RYLA

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

The purpose of RYLA is to recognise the leadership potential of young people and to enhance their skills by providing an opportunity for personal, professional and community development.

RYLA
is a leadership training program for young adults aged 19 to 25 years, conducted annually.
The award is being selected.

The week long seminar is held at the Tops Conference Centre, Stanwell Tops in January each year.

Three senior secondary students represent a UN Nation in debates on matters of world political concern.

The teams wear the national dress of the countries they are representing and respond to the questions as to those countries would respond.
